Charcoal Drawing
From $250 CAD25% booking retainer to secure your spot, 50% progress payment once the initial rendering is underway, 25% due within 7 days of completion.
Some combinations aren't offered at A4. That much subject/background detail needs a larger surface to render properly. Try A3 or A2.
Oil Painting
From $480 CAD25% booking retainer to secure your spot, 50% progress payment once the initial rendering is underway, 25% due within 7 days of completion.

Booking Retainer (25%)
Due immediately to secure your spot in the queue. Covers administrative setup and initial composition sketches. Non-refundable.
Progress Payment (50%)
Due once the underpainting or initial rendering pass is complete. This covers the bulk of the intensive work.
Final Delivery (25%)
Due within 7 days of the piece being completed, before it ships or is handed over.

How to commission a pet portrait
1. Share your pet's story
Email a few clear photographs and tell us what you love about your companion. Include your preferred medium, approximate size and any date you have in mind.
2. Plan the artwork
Discuss the pose, number of pets and background. The calculators above give an estimate; your final quote and availability are confirmed during consultation.
3. Follow the commission process
The existing payment schedule is a 25% booking retainer, a 50% progress payment and the final 25% due within seven days of completion. See the terms above for details.

What photographs should I send?
Send clear, well-lit photos that show your pet's eyes, face, markings and expression. Several photographs help explain their personality. If you are planning a memorial portrait and have limited photos, send what you have so we can discuss the possibilities.
Can a portrait include more than one pet?
The calculators include options for up to three subjects. Some combinations need a larger size to leave enough room for detail; unavailable choices are disabled in the calculator.
Should I choose charcoal or oil?
Charcoal offers a monochrome portrait with texture and contrast on archival paper. Oils offer full colour on canvas. Think about the feeling of the portrait, its display space and your budget; we can talk through the options.
